A CRITICAL REVIEW OF RASHID SHAZ THEORIES ON SUFISM

Abstract

Sufism is actually a spiritual treatment and is a field like other fields of religion, just as in other fields due to wrong ideas, it does not make any difference to the real problem, in the same way Sufism itself is affected by the inclusion of wrong beliefs and ideas in Sufism. It is not correct to say that it is wrong and to call the Sufis irreligious and heretical. In this article, Rashid Shahz's ideas about Sufism will be critically evaluated and it will be clarified that Sufism is not a new religion and Sufism is based on the Qur'an and There is no name for something contradictory to Hadith, Sufism is an important source of closeness to God. In this article, these same questions will be answered.When did Sufism begin? Was Sufism found in Prophethood and Companions? Is Sufism a new religion against religion? Is Sufism the cause of distance from Islam? In this article, an analytical method of research will be adopted, the words that have been spoken about Sufism will be examined in the light of the original arguments, thus its positive and negative aspects will be evaluated and the results obtained will be mentioned. Sufism is not a new religion, but it is the completion of the Muhammadan religion, and those methods which do not contradict the Qur'an and Hadith are recommended and practicable, and points which are contrary to the principles of religion should be abandoned, which is the right and duty of every Muslim to point out.
