A Solution to Environmental Pollution in the Contemporary World in the Light of Seerah

Abstract

The nature has been put subservient to the man by Allah Almighty and the Islam being a natural religion puts utmost emphasis on guiding its followers for living such a life which is not harmful for the nature and environment. Actually, all the natural resources have been created by Allah Almighty for the comfort and wellbeing of mankind. The life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is replete with the sayings and incidents when he practically highlighted the importance of protecting the weak and natural environment. He instructed the Muslims to never harm the beasts of burden, birds, trees and all the living creatures which do not harm the human being. Therefore, there is no doubt that different types of pollution can be not only handled but also eradicated by following the guidelines related to the cleanliness and hygienic lifestyle given by our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
