Abstract

It is very important to keep children safe and away from crimes. Taking care of children and taking care of their rights is one of the important responsibilities of parents, guardians, and other members of the society and the state. When one in them lacks behind in responsibilities, as a result, the child involves in crimes and gets stuck in different dangerous swamp. In Islam, there is a command to deal with children with compassion and gentleness. The one who punishes a child without any reason will be punished severely and will be given penalty. As a precaution, it is not permissible to punish children without committing any mistake. However, there is a concept of punishing children in Islam for committing mistakes. It is very important to keep the child's psychology and age in mind while giving punishment. It is forbidden to punish the child for a small mistake. It is ordered to adopt a gradual method while giving punishment to the children. Children can only be punished by hand. It is not permissible to hit with a stick etc. The condition for hitting with the hand is also that it should not be more than three times. It is strictly prohibited to hit the body with such force that the body becomes scarred or injured or a bone is broken. It is not permissible to hit the sensitive parts of the body (face, stomach, pubic area, etc.). In case of coercion, the child can also be punished with imprisonment.
