Abstract

Accountability is a divine practice, where humans, as Allah's stewards, are sent for a period as representatives to implement divine commands, forming the basis for judgment in the afterlife. It is inherent to all revealed and non-revealed religions and laws.Personal, familial, societal, cultural, and civilizational accountability encompass the various dimensions of this process, affecting individuals and spanning past and future generations. Starting with the creation of Prophet Adam, accountability evolved through a sequence, reaching its pinnacle during the era of the final Prophet Prophet Muhammad imparted principles and guidelines of accountability, applying them across all facets of society and removing obstacles on its path. Understanding the principles and types of accountability is crucial, as the Quran and Sunnah guide us in this matter. Ignoring foundational principles hinders the attainment of accurate results. Knowledge of the types of accountability is equally vital to comprehend the various contexts in which accountability is practiced.
