Abstract

The Holy Quran is a divine book, and being non-Arab, it is difficult for a person to understand it. Therefore, the Islamic religious scholars have written its commentaries / explanatory books. Among these, one writer / scholar is Akhunzada Maulana Habib-Ul-Haq Dirvi, who has explained the Holy Quran in points. He has divided the Surah Fatiha into three main topics i.e. the Godship, the Creation and the Reward for the bad and good deeds. He has further divided these topics into four subjects i.e. Tawheed (Monotheism) with proofs, Prophethood, tidings (good news) for the Believers and punishment for the disobedient people. This is of course, the summary of the Holy Quran. He has also demarcated the limits of these subjects/ topics in the said Surah. He has also explained that the seven verses (Ayaat) of the Surah fatiha are the summaries of the seven Manazil of the Holy Quran. He has also explained that how to beg from Allah, we have to beg/request Allah with humbleness after praising Him.
