Keywords:
Sufis, Tafseer, Usool, Qura’anic ExegesisAbstract
The eminence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is both of the Exeget and the Lawgiver. He exegeted and explicated the Holy Quran and also implemented Sharia laws according to the circumstances and events. After the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the interpretations and exegeses of the Holy Qur'an was carried out by various scholars of the Ummah Thematic groups who tried to do it according to their own specific sphere and these efforts continue till today. Among these classes, a large group belongs to Sufis. They also exegeted and interpreted the Holy Quran. By reviewing the exegetical literature of Sufis, it is immediately known that Sufis do not have a formal or fixed style of interpretation, nor is there a specific method they follow. However, a close reading analysis reveals that some basic principles and orders preside beneath the surface. According to them, the Qur'an’s meaning and knowledge is like an ocean without the shore. Each verse has many external and internal meanings. Therefore, arriving at the exact and quintessential meaning and knowledge of the Qur’an is inconceivable. In their opinion, similarities and mutuality of departments is that the verses of the departments will always be the verdict and they will be followed. And subjecting analogies to them, meanings will be determined. In the light of the recitation of the Quran With complete obedience, presence of heart and sincerity to the text and sunnah of the Quran, and the effects of it on the soul and the heart, the verses will be interpreted and exegeted in accordance with the partial similarities to the visible and the invisible world. There has been no conscious research on finding the underlying principles and injunctions in the exegetical literature of sufis. It is necessary to find these principles and to make an attempt to explore such underlying injunctions and principles. This attempt will be made in this research paper.
